Elisha was a shepherd who served with God’s truth and power. They are different in character and nature of ministry. Elijah fought idol worship in kings and people. “’Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,’ Elisha replied.”Ģ Kings continues the story of the kings and great prophets of Israel. Through the prophets, God warned the people to repent of their idolatry, otherwise they would be punished. The main figure in 1 Kings is the prophet Elijah.
